There are many walls, many of which are in our mind or mentality.
The walls in the minds, are, according me, the most difficult to overcome, because it is difficult to change your mind about something important, even if it's something important only for us, and that others do not care.
Racism is an example of a wall that divides people of different ethnicity from another.
And, speaking of racism, I am reminded of a short story: an African who was afraid of the Chinese, one day he met one of them and tried to avoid it but if he found nearby. Another day she met him at the supermarket checkout and, as usual, tried to avoid him and went close to an Italian but he was afraid of the Africans and, in turn, moved close to China but was afraid of the Italians and walked away . Thus, 'these people, like millions of others, was never discussed, nor put it' s agreement on anything.
But racism is not the 'only existing wall. In fact there are phobias, another wall which can break down.
Another wall is in politics, that makes you come to hate a person for what he does and who has allowed him.
Instead, the wall materials, less difficult to take down 'are always based on grounds of mental or to divide territory, that is just for sharing but, as the Berlin Wall have divided the two countries. Pero 'partition walls between the two countries are not built just for this but also to avoid physical contact as in wars even if you may have as trenches or barbed wire.
